Abstract

The partial substitution of Co2+ ions for V5+ ions in the perovskite-like sheets of Bi4V2O11 has allowed us to stabilize at room temperature the structure of γ-Bi4V2O11. Dense ceramics have been obtained by sintering at 800oC. These materials are assumed to be oxygen ionic conductors
